Eden Screen confronts the constant drive toward technological consumption, the screen as operational surface, and the interruption of the cycle of planned obsolescence, using e-waste, deconstructed LCD monitors, and unused iPhones. On each screen is a bisection of the (re)productive cycle: on one, found footage of the Foxconn factory that produces the ubiquitous mobile technology; on the other, a close-up of the complete process of replacing a cracked screen. Sonically, the audio of the repair process verges on ASMR, while from the other plays EMF recordings of the inner electromagnetic complexity of operating the device.
